We are throwing a high school prom this weekend. It is a first for all involved. We are wondering what is the proper etiquette for tipping. We will have 2 off duty police officers as security, 1 photographer, and a DJ. There will also be 2 or 3 banquet hall employees there to help with anything we need. Do we tip everyone & how much should we give?

  1. latj says:

The Photographer should get 20% of whatever the contract is.
The DJ should get 15 to 20% of their contract.
The Off Duty Police Officers should also receive 15 to 20% extra.
The Banquet Hall Employees should each receive 15% extra as a tip.
Remember that the amount that you tip is determined on how “good” of a service was rendered. If they did a poor job you tip less (not less than 15%) but if they did an excellent job you tip more.
